What we move, by source

Three starting points. Tell us which one on the form and the right questions follow.

  • Google WorkspaceMail and rules, calendars and contacts move in batches, so the move can happen in stages, as Microsoft documents. Drive files and Teams set-up are part of our plan.
  • An email server, or email from your web hostMailboxes moved from Exchange, IMAP or your hosting provider, with your domain pointed at Microsoft 365 on the cut-over date.
  • Another Microsoft 365 tenantAfter a merger, sale or rebrand: mailboxes, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams moved to the new organisation. Microsoft's own cross-tenant tool needs a one-time licence per user; our price includes the migration tool licences.

What you get

Five deliverables, from our price list.

  • A written plan: the order of work, the cut-over date and what each person needs to do
  • Mailboxes, files and Teams moved, with the timing agreed around your renewal date and working hours
  • Sign-in, MFA and sharing settings set up in line with the Cyber Essentials controls
  • Intune: devices enrolled, encryption and updates enforced and apps deployed, with a pilot group first
  • Handover notes and a short session for whoever looks after it afterwards

How the cut-over works

A few weeks to a couple of months, depending on users and devices, with the cut-over date set in the written plan before anything moves.

  1. A written plan. The order of work, the cut-over date and what each person needs to do.

  2. A pilot or test batch. A few mailboxes move first, so any problem shows up small.

  3. The move. Timed around your renewal date and working hours. We plan to keep disruption to working time low, but we don't promise zero downtime.

  4. Sign-in, MFA and sharing set to the Cyber Essentials controls. So the Microsoft 365 side starts in line with what Cyber Essentials asks for.

  5. Handover notes and a short session. For whoever looks after it afterwards.

After the move

Keep it running with a support plan if you want one: Essentials £9, Managed £35 or Secure £55 per user a month, excluding VAT. See IT support.

Common questions

How much does a Microsoft 365 migration cost?

Our fixed prices are £1,650 for up to 10 users, £2,950 up to 25 and £4,950 up to 50, excluding VAT. Migration tool licences are included. A tenant-to-tenant move starts at £4,950 for up to 25 users. Larger projects are charged at the day rate.

What is a tenant-to-tenant migration?

It means moving users, mailboxes and files from one Microsoft 365 organisation to another, usually after a merger, a sale or a rebrand. Each person needs a Microsoft 365 licence in the new tenant.

Do we need extra licences for a tenant-to-tenant move?

Microsoft's own cross-tenant tool needs a one-time Cross Tenant User Data Migration licence for each user. Our fixed prices include the migration tool licences, so the move itself needs no extra tool licences.

Can you move Google Workspace to Microsoft 365?

Yes. Google Workspace mail and rules, calendars and contacts can be moved in batches, so the move can happen in stages. We agree the cut-over date around your renewal and working hours.

How long does a migration take?

Usually a few weeks to a couple of months, depending on the number of users and devices. The written plan sets the cut-over date before anything moves.

Can you set up our laptops at the same time?

Yes. An Intune and Autopilot rollout is £1,250 fixed for up to 25 devices, excluding VAT, with a pilot group first.
